Download Pawprint and Add Your Pet

    ~19s
Search "Pawprint Pet Health" in the App Store or Google Play and install the app. Create a free account with your email address. Tap "Add a pet" and enter your pet's name, species, breed, date of birth, and a photo if you have one. You can add multiple pets and switch between them in the app.
    2

    Request Records from Your Vet

    ~28s
Tap "Get records" and enter the name and location of your pet's veterinary clinic. Pawprint will send an authorized request to the clinic asking them to share your pet's records. Most clinics respond within a few business days. You may receive a text message from the clinic to confirm you authorized the request before they release the information.

    Quick Tip

Quick Tip: Add all of your pet's past clinics, not just the current one — a complete vaccination history is often needed for boarding, travel, or new vet visits.

    3

    Upload Records You Already Have

    ~20s
If you have paper records at home, take a clear photo of each document with your phone's camera. In the app, tap your pet's profile, then tap "Add record" and choose "Upload photo." Select the photo from your camera roll. Pawprint will try to read the document and fill in the details automatically. You can correct anything it reads incorrectly.

Set Up Medication and Vaccine Reminders

    ~20s
In your pet's profile, tap "Reminders" and add each recurring item — such as monthly flea and tick prevention, annual rabies booster, or daily medication. Set the due date and how often it repeats. The app will send you a push notification when each item is coming up so you never miss a dose or a due date.

Share Records with a New Vet

    ~19s
When you visit a new vet or need to board your pet, open Pawprint, go to your pet's profile, and tap "Share records." You can send a link by text or email that the recipient can open without needing to download the app. You control what is shared and can revoke access at any time.

Pawprint is a free app that acts as a digital health record keeper for your pet. If you have ever scrambled to find proof of your dog's rabies vaccine when boarding them, or could not remember when your cat last had a flea treatment, Pawprint solves exactly that problem.

The app stores vaccination records, vet visit summaries, prescription history, and any health documents you upload — all organized by pet and searchable from your phone. When you visit a new vet, you can share your pet's full health history from the app in seconds rather than hunting through a shoebox of old paperwork.

One of Pawprint's most convenient features is record retrieval. Rather than asking you to scan every old document yourself, Pawprint can contact your current and previous veterinary clinics on your behalf and request your pet's records directly. You authorize the request in the app, and when the vet sends the records, they appear in Pawprint automatically.

Pawprint also sets up automatic reminders for upcoming vaccinations, annual checkups, and recurring medications like heartworm prevention. You will get a notification when something is due so nothing falls through the cracks.

The app is free to download and use for the core features. A premium tier adds additional storage and more detailed health insights. Pawprint is available on iPhone and Android and works for both dogs and cats.
