Google Meet is Google's free video calling service. You can use it from your phone, tablet, or computer. Anyone with a Google account (Gmail) can start a meeting, and participants can join from a web browser without installing anything. Free calls allow up to 100 participants for up to 60 minutes.

To start a meeting on your phone: download the Google Meet app, sign in with your Google account, and tap "New Meeting." You get a meeting link to share via text, email, or any messaging app.

To start from a computer: go to meet.google.com, sign in with your Google account, and click "New Meeting." You can also start a meeting directly from Gmail — look for the "Meet" section in the sidebar.

To join a meeting: click the meeting link someone shared with you, or go to meet.google.com and enter the meeting code. On your phone, tapping the link automatically opens the Google Meet app.

During a call, use the bottom toolbar to mute/unmute your microphone, turn your camera on/off, share your screen, access the chat, and leave the meeting. Tap the three dots for more options like changing your background or adjusting layout.

Google Meet is a great option for families where some members use iPhone and others use Android — it works on every platform through a web browser.
