    1

Use Google Photos for a quick collage

    ~19s
Open Google Photos on your phone. Tap Library at the bottom, then Utilities near the top. Select Collage, choose 2 to 9 photos, and Google Photos creates the collage automatically. Tap Save to keep it.

    Quick Tip

Google Photos collages work best when all the photos are from the same event or have a similar color tone.

    2

Download Pic Collage for more options

    ~15s
Search for "Pic Collage" in the App Store or Google Play and install it. Open the app and tap Collage. Browse the layout templates and pick one that fits the number of photos you want to include.
    3

    Add photos to each slot

    ~15s
Tap each empty slot in your layout to choose a photo from your camera roll. Once a photo is in a slot, pinch to zoom and drag to reposition it within the frame.
    4

    Customize and add text

    ~15s
Tap the T button to add a text label — like a name, date, or caption. Adjust the font, size, and color. You can also tap the background option to change the color or pattern between the photo slots.
    5

    Save and share

    ~15s
Tap the Save or Export button to save the finished collage to your phone's camera roll. From there, send it by text, email, or social media. To order a print, open the Walgreens or CVS Photo app and upload your collage.

A photo collage combines several photos into a single image — great for holidays, birthdays, milestones, or just organizing memories into a shareable snapshot. You can make one on your phone in a few minutes using tools that are already available or free to download.

The quickest option on Android is Google Photos, which has a built-in collage maker. Open the Google Photos app (download it free if you don't have it), tap the Library tab at the bottom, then tap Utilities near the top. Select Collage and choose 2 to 9 photos from your library. Google Photos automatically arranges them in a grid, and within seconds you have a collage you can save and share. The layouts are simple and the tool is fast, but there's not much customization — you can't add text, change colors, or adjust individual photo sizes.

For more creative control, standalone collage apps give you much more to work with. Pic Collage (free, available on iPhone and Android) is one of the most popular. Canva (also free) is another strong choice with hundreds of professional-looking templates. PicsArt (free with optional in-app purchases) offers both collages and full photo editing.

In Pic Collage: download the app, open it, and tap Collage. Choose a template — the templates show different grid arrangements. Then tap each slot to select which photo goes there. You can pinch to zoom within a slot, drag to reposition the photo, and switch photos in and out. Once your layout looks right, add text by tapping the T button, change the background color, or add stickers. When you're done, save to your camera roll by tapping the export or save button.

Tips for a great collage: choose photos with consistent lighting and color tones so they look like they belong together. Mix portrait (vertical) and landscape (horizontal) photos thoughtfully — most grid templates look better when photos share a similar orientation. Leaving a small gap between photos (padding) makes the collage look clean; no padding gives a more modern, seamless feel.

When you've saved the collage, share it by text message, email, or post it on social media. For a physical copy, apps like Walgreens, CVS Photo, or Shutterfly let you order a printed version delivered to your door or available for pickup at a store.
