Install the free TaskRabbit app from the App Store or Play Store, or go to taskrabbit.com. Sign up with your email and add a payment card.

Pick a task category

Tap "New task" and pick the category — Furniture Assembly, Moving Help, Handyman, Cleaning, Yard Work, or General Help. Each category has different hourly rates.

Describe your job

Write what needs to be done in plain language. Add how many hours you think it will take (most Taskers have a 1-hour minimum). Attach a photo of the item or the space.

Pick a Tasker

The app shows nearby Taskers with their hourly rate, reviews, and completed jobs. Stick with Taskers who have 4.8 stars or higher and at least 50 completed jobs for reliability.

Meet, review, and tip

The Tasker arrives at your chosen time. Pay through the app when the job is done — you can add a tip. Leave a review so the next customer knows what to expect.
