    Check in online 24 hours before your flight

    Go to the airline's website or app the day before your flight. Log in with your booking reference number and last name. Tap "Check in" and follow the prompts to confirm your seat.

    Choose the mobile boarding pass option

    When check-in is complete, the site or app will ask how you want your boarding pass. Choose "Email" or "Add to Apple Wallet" or "Add to Google Wallet." Pick the wallet option if you can — it is the most convenient.

    Add the pass to your phone's wallet

    On iPhone, tap "Add to Apple Wallet" and then tap "Add." On Android, tap "Add to Google Wallet." The boarding pass will appear in your Wallet app with your flight details, seat number, and barcode.

    Open the Wallet app (iPhone) or Google Wallet (Android) before you reach the TSA checkpoint. Show the barcode to the scanner at security and again at the gate. The pass should work even in Airplane Mode.
