    How to Set Up and Use Arlo Camera

    Install an Arlo wireless security camera and view video on your phone from anywhere in the world.

    Charge the camera battery

    Before you start, plug the Arlo camera into the wall charger that came in the box. Let it charge fully — usually about 2 hours. The light turns green when done.

    Install the Arlo app and make an account

    Download the Arlo Secure app from the App Store or Play Store. Tap "Create Account" and sign up with your email and a strong password.

    Set up the base station (if included)

    If your Arlo kit came with a base station (a small plastic box), connect it to your internet router with the Ethernet cable and plug it into power. Wait for the light to turn green.

    Add the camera in the app

    Tap the plus sign in the app and pick "Add New Device". Scan the QR code on the bottom of the camera or follow the prompts to connect to your Wi-Fi. Name the camera (like "Front Door").

    Mount and test the camera

    Screw or magnetically mount the camera where you want it. Open the app, tap the camera name, and you should see live video. Walk in front to test motion alerts on your phone.
