How to Get and Use Mobile Event Tickets on Your Phone
Most concerts and sports events now use digital mobile tickets instead of paper — here's how to access your Ticketmaster tickets on your phone and get in at the gate.
Download the Ticketmaster App
~25sQuick Tip
Download the app and log in while you're at home with good Wi-Fi — don't wait until you're outside the venue to figure out the app. Cell service near event venues is often slow due to crowds.
Find Your Tickets in the App

Do NOT screenshot your tickets to share. Screenshots show a frozen barcode that won't scan. If someone else is meeting you at the event, transfer the ticket to them through the app (tap "Transfer Tickets" in Ticketmaster).

Add your tickets to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet directly from the Ticketmaster app — this lets you access tickets even with poor cell service, since Wallet tickets work offline.

Most major concerts, sports games, and live events have moved to mobile-only ticketing. Instead of paper tickets or printed PDFs, your ticket lives in an app and displays as a rotating QR code that you show to staff at the entrance. No paper, no printing required.
This change has frustrated some ticket holders who preferred paper, but mobile tickets have real advantages: you can't lose them (they're always in your phone), they're harder to counterfeit (the QR code rotates every few seconds making screenshots unusable), and you can transfer them to someone else digitally at the last minute.
Ticketmaster is the largest ticket vendor and uses their Ticketmaster app for mobile tickets. AXS is another major platform used by many sports teams and venues. StubHub (resale market) and SeatGeek also use mobile delivery for many tickets.
The key to smooth event entry: download the app before you leave home, locate your tickets, and make sure your phone battery is charged. Nothing is more stressful than a low battery or poor cell signal at a crowded venue while trying to pull up a ticket.
If you prefer to have a physical backup: some events allow you to print a PDF version of your ticket. Look for a "Print tickets" option in the app or on the website. Note that many venues have eliminated print-at-home options entirely — always check the venue's specific policy when you purchase.
For people who struggle with apps or low vision: inform the venue's accessibility services. Many venues have accommodations for attendees who need assistance accessing mobile tickets.
