Many SiriusXM subscribers do not realize that their car subscription also allows them to stream on up to three other devices at no extra charge. That means you can listen to your favorite SiriusXM channels on your phone while walking, on a tablet at home, or through a web browser on your computer — all included with the subscription you are already paying for.
SiriusXM offers hundreds of channels covering every taste: commercial-free music organized by decade and genre, live sports play-by-play, national news (Fox News, CNN, MSNBC), talk radio, comedy, and exclusive shows from popular hosts. The channel lineup is the same whether you are listening in the car or through the app.
To get started on your phone, download the SiriusXM app from the App Store or Google Play Store. It is free to download. Once installed, tap "Sign In" and enter the email address and password tied to your SiriusXM account. If you have never set up an online account, visit siriusxm.com, click "Sign In," and choose "Create Account" — you will need your radio ID (found on your car's SiriusXM radio display or your billing statement) to link the account.
Once you are logged in, the app shows all available channels in a browsable list organized by category. Tap any channel to start listening. You can mark channels as favorites so they appear at the top of your list. The search feature lets you find specific shows, hosts, or channel names by name.
On a computer, go to siriusxm.com and click "Listen Online" after logging in. No app download is needed — it plays through your browser.
If you have a SiriusXM Platinum subscription, you can pause live broadcasts and rewind up to 30 minutes. Standard subscriptions play channels in real time only.
SiriusXM also works through Amazon Echo speakers. Go to the Alexa app, tap Skills & Games, search for SiriusXM, enable the skill, and link your account. Then say "Alexa, play channel 22 on SiriusXM."
If you cannot log in or your password is not working, visit siriusxm.com and use the "Forgot Password" link, or call SiriusXM customer service at 1-888-539-7474 for assistance.
New subscribers who do not have a vehicle subscription can sign up for a streaming-only plan. SiriusXM frequently offers promotional rates for new customers — check siriusxm.com for current trial offers.
