    Check who is actually selling the item

    On any product page, look for "Sold by" and "Ships from" below the price. "Sold by Amazon.com" is the safest option. If a third-party seller is listed, check their seller rating — look for sellers with 95% or higher positive feedback and at least a few hundred reviews.

    Read recent reviews carefully

    Sort reviews by "Most recent" and read what buyers say. Look for verified purchase badges. Be cautious if all reviews are 5 stars with no detail, or if many reviews mention completely different products — these are signs of review manipulation.

    Check the return policy before buying

    Scroll down to "Returns & Orders" or look for the return policy on the product page. Most Amazon items are returnable within 30 days. Third-party sellers may have stricter policies, so read these carefully before purchasing.
