    How to Set Up Blink Outdoor Camera

    Set up a battery-powered Blink camera outside your home with no wiring and long battery life.

    3. 3.Add the Sync Module to the app

    Install the Blink app

    Download the Blink Home Monitor app from the App Store or Play Store. Create an account with your email and a password.

    Plug in the Sync Module indoors

    The Sync Module is a small white box that came in your Blink kit. Plug it into a wall outlet inside your house. A blue light will turn on when it is ready.

    Add the Sync Module to the app

    In the Blink app, tap the plus sign and pick "Sync Module". Scan the QR code on the back of the module, connect to your home Wi-Fi, and wait for it to come online (about 1 minute).

    Install batteries and add the camera

    Slide the back off the camera, pop in the two AA batteries, and close it up. In the app, tap the plus sign again and pick your camera type. Scan the QR code inside the battery compartment.

    Mount and test

    Screw or stick the camera outside where you want it — most people pick a porch or garage facing a driveway. Open the app, tap Live View, and check you see video. Walk in front to confirm motion alerts arrive on your phone.
