Samsung Quick Share is Samsung's built-in file-sharing tool for Galaxy phones and tablets. It works like Apple's AirDrop — you can send photos, videos, contacts, or any file to a nearby Samsung device wirelessly in seconds, without needing Wi-Fi, cellular data, or any cables.
Quick Share uses Bluetooth and Wi-Fi Direct to create a direct connection between two Samsung devices. Files transfer at fast speeds — a high-resolution photo takes about 2–3 seconds, a large video a bit longer.
Quick Share works between Galaxy phones, tablets, and some Galaxy laptops. Both sender and receiver need to have Quick Share enabled. You can set your device to be discoverable by "Contacts only," "Everyone," or "No one" (off).
Starting in late 2023, Samsung merged Quick Share with Google's Nearby Share to create a unified "Quick Share" that also works with non-Samsung Android phones and some Windows PCs, making it even more versatile.
Quick Share is great for transferring photos from one phone to another at a family gathering, sending a document to a colleague, or quickly moving files between your own devices.
