    Download and purchase Paprika

    ~33s
Search for "Paprika 3" in the App Store (iPhone/iPad) or Google Play (Android). Paprika costs a small one-time fee — check the current price in the store. There is also a Mac and Windows version available at paprikaapp.com for those who prefer to manage recipes on a computer. After purchasing and installing the app, open it and you will see an empty recipe box waiting to be filled.

    Quick Tip

Quick Tip: If you use Paprika on multiple devices (phone and tablet, for example), you only need to purchase it once per platform (iOS or Android), but the Mac and Windows versions are sold separately.

    2

Save a recipe from any website using the built-in browser

    ~28s
Tap the browser icon inside the Paprika app (it looks like a globe or compass). Type a recipe website address in the address bar, or search for a recipe by name. Navigate to any recipe page you want to save. Tap the "Save Recipe" button (usually shown at the top of the browser inside Paprika). The app will automatically detect and extract the recipe title, ingredients, instructions, and photo. Review the imported recipe and tap "Save" to add it to your library.
    3

Create your own recipe from scratch

    ~26s
Tap the "+" button in your recipe library to create a new recipe. Enter the title, then add ingredients one by one with their quantities and measurements. Add the instructions in the steps field, typing each step separately for clarity. You can also add a photo by taking a picture of your finished dish or selecting one from your photo library. Tap "Save" when you are done, and your recipe is now stored in your library permanently.

Plan your meals for the week

    ~33s
Tap the "Meal Plan" icon in the app's navigation. You will see a weekly calendar view. Tap any day and select "Add Meal" to assign a recipe to that day. You can plan breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks separately. Drag recipes from your library onto the calendar, or search for a recipe by name when planning. This view gives you a full picture of your week's meals at a glance.

    Quick Tip

Quick Tip: Planning meals for the week before grocery shopping is one of the most effective ways to reduce food waste and avoid buying things you do not end up using.

    5

    Generate your grocery list automatically

    ~25s
After filling in your meal plan, tap the "Grocery" tab in the app. Tap "Add from Meal Plan" and Paprika will automatically combine all ingredients from your planned meals into a single shopping list. Ingredients from multiple recipes are combined when possible — if three recipes each call for olive oil, it adds those amounts together. The list is organized by category, making it easier to navigate the grocery store efficiently. Check off items as you shop.
    6

Adjust serving sizes for any recipe

    ~26s
Open any recipe in Paprika and look for the serving size number near the top of the recipe details. Tap on it and enter a new number — for example, if the recipe serves 4 but you need to serve 12, enter 12. Paprika will automatically recalculate every ingredient in the recipe to match the new serving size. This works for scaling up for a party or scaling down to cook for just one or two people.

Paprika is a recipe management app designed to solve a common problem: your favorite recipes are scattered across bookmarks, printed pages, index cards, and a dozen different websites. Paprika brings everything into one organized place that works on your phone, tablet, and computer.

The most popular feature is the built-in browser. Instead of copying and pasting recipes from websites into your notes app, Paprika has a built-in web browser. You navigate to any recipe website, tap "Save Recipe," and Paprika automatically extracts the ingredients, instructions, and photo from the page — no manual copying required.

Paprika is a one-time purchase, not a monthly subscription. You pay once to download the app, and then it is yours to keep without ongoing charges. The price varies slightly by platform but is typically a few dollars. This is different from most cooking apps that charge monthly fees.

Once your recipes are in Paprika, you can plan your meals for the week by dragging recipes onto a weekly meal planning calendar. After planning, tap "Add to Grocery List" and Paprika automatically compiles all the ingredients from your planned meals into a single, organized shopping list — sorted by category (produce, dairy, meat, etc.) so you can move efficiently through the store.

You can also scale recipe servings. If a recipe serves four but you are cooking for ten, Paprika recalculates all the ingredient amounts automatically. If you are cooking for one, it scales down as well.

Paprika syncs your recipe library across all your devices using Paprika's own sync service. Start a recipe on your phone during the commute home, and it will be waiting on your kitchen tablet when you start cooking.
