    1

    Go to Adobe Express

    ~15s
Open a web browser and go to express.adobe.com. You can also download the free Adobe Express app from the App Store or Google Play. On the website, click Start for Free.
    2

    Create a Free Adobe Account

    ~21s
Click Sign Up and enter your email address, create a password, and tap Create Account. You can also sign up with an existing Google account if you prefer. Creating an account is free.

    Quick Tip

Quick Tip: If you already use Adobe Acrobat Reader or any other Adobe product, you may already have an Adobe account. Try signing in with your existing email and password first.

    3

    Choose a Project Type

    ~15s
After signing in, you will see options for different types of projects: Social Media Post, Flyer, Poster, Logo, Video, and more. Click the type that matches what you want to make. Adobe Express will show you the correct dimensions and template options for that format.
    4

    Pick a Template

    ~22s
Browse through the template gallery and click any template that catches your eye. The template will open in the editor. Templates marked with a small crown icon are premium (paid) — stick to the ones without a crown for the free tier.

    Quick Tip

Quick Tip: Use the search bar at the top to search for templates by theme — try "birthday," "sale," "community," or "announcement" to find relevant options quickly.

    5

    Customize the Text

    ~16s
Click on any text in the template to select it. A text editor will appear. Type your own words to replace the placeholder text. You can change the font, size, and color using the toolbar at the top. Click anywhere outside the text box when you are done.
    6

    Add or Replace Images

    ~16s
Click on any photo in the template to select it. You will see options to replace the image with your own photo or choose from Adobe's free stock photo library. To use your own photo, click Upload and choose a photo from your computer or phone.
    7

    Download Your Finished Design

    ~27s
When your design looks the way you want, click the Download button in the top-right corner. Choose JPG or PNG as the file type — JPG is fine for most uses and creates a smaller file size. The finished image will be saved to your computer's Downloads folder.

    Warning

Free Adobe Express downloads may include a small watermark on some premium templates. To avoid the watermark, choose templates that are not marked as premium, or the watermark will be visible in your downloaded file.

Adobe Express (previously called Adobe Spark) is a free design tool from Adobe that lets you create social media posts, flyers, invitations, posters, and more — even if you have no design experience. It works in a web browser and as a free app on iPhone and Android.

The key to Adobe Express is its template library. Instead of designing from a blank page, you start with a professionally designed template and change the text, photos, and colors to suit your needs. The result looks polished without requiring design skills.

Adobe Express is particularly useful for making things like church event flyers, neighborhood announcements, birthday invitations, social media announcements, or simple business cards. Thousands of templates are available in the free tier.

The free version of Adobe Express includes access to thousands of templates, basic editing tools, and the ability to download your finished design as a JPG or PNG image. Some premium templates and features require an Adobe subscription, but the free tier has plenty to work with for everyday projects.

To get started, you create a free Adobe account using an email address. If you have used any other Adobe products before, like Acrobat Reader, you may already have an Adobe account.

Adobe Express saves your projects automatically in the cloud, so you can come back and edit them later on any device. This makes it convenient to start a design on a computer and make small tweaks on your phone later.
